The Achill Experience Aquarium & Visitors Centre can cater for group visits and is dedicated to providing a fun and educational experience for all visitors. Group will get a 45-minute guided tour of our aquarium, with our dedicated and passionate guides showcasing a wide variety of our marine and freshwater residents from both native species and tropical, where they can be found and their unique abilities.
Groups can also explore our Visitors Centre that displays and highlights the unique heritage of Achill’s past and present, from the Greenway, the Deserted Village, our replica boley house that is surrounded by artefacts from years gone by and the fascinating history of the basking shark fishing industry that thrived for decades here in Achill.

Fabulous little spot on Achill Island which is community run. Definitely a must see when you are touring the island. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and obviously passionate about sea creatures. An excellent experience for both kids and adults.

We really enjoyed our trip to the aquarium the guy who spoke about the different types of sea creatures is just so nice and very interesting to listen to he explained everything so clearly. We're wondering did the little baby shark appear out of the sack yet. Thank you for a lovely tour.

We arrived today completely unplanned and were delighted to be accommodated so readily and made
feel really welcome. We booked in a tour of the aquarium and our guide was Kevin. That man has the patience of a saint and an incredible amount of knowledge. He’s like a “fish whisperer”. Id highly recommend this visit, kids and adults alike will enjoy.

Well worth a visit, great collection of marine life in top quality conditions, everyone welcoming and friendly but the tour guide was the business, so knowledgeable, and brilliant with the children's many questions.

Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Kevin was so informative and it's amazing how interesting our sea life is. We're from Westport, only an hour away and I'm shocked at how little we know even though we live on the coast. Would highly recommend a visit to the aquarium. Lovely gift shop also and all the staff were lovely. Great value for money.

What a lovely and informative experience. The staff were so engaging and friendly and we came out with a lot more knowledge than when we arrived. Would definitely recommend it and we will be back.

Great little visitor centre offering an aquatic experience as well as a fantastic chronicle of the local history. We were welcomed by Elaine who was most welcoming and extremely knowledgeable of the area. The centre is great for adults and children, there is also a well stocked shop selling gifts, tea, coffee etc. Well worth a drop by.
